Explore local brewing history as the Marathon County Historical Society presents the Historic Taverns Tour, from 1 pm to 4 pm on Sunday, May 22, 2016. Costumed re-enactors will tell the stories of local bars as patrons travel at their own pace between eight Eastside locations.The Historic Taverns Tour will include the Hiawatha, Glass Hat, Domino, B and R, Cop Shop, Intermission, Loppnows, and Pollock Inn. Costumed re-enactors will tell stories about the bars and local brewing history. A reception after the tour will begin at 4 pm at Bull Falls Brewery, 901 E. Thomas St., sponsored by Bull Falls and by Janke Book Store.Tickets for the Historic Taverns Tour cost $10 for members of the Historical Society or $15 for nonmembers, and will be available starting May 3 at the Historical Society and Janke Book Store.
